Description
This beautiful Luminaire accent lamp features two works by David Delamare. Their use has been licensed with David Delamare.

One is " Fairy Moon " showing a Fairy Sitting on the bottom of a Crescent Moon.

The other is called " The Story Fairy " showing a Fairy sitting on a Crescent Moon Reading a book (Fairy Stories I'm sure.

Each panel is repeated on the opposite side of the lamp.

The Luminaire lamp has four large Lithophane panels decorating this Asian influenced accent lamp in a matte black powder coated finish. Each panel is 5 1/2" X 11 1/8".

This is a very versatile lamp. It can be placed low (on a nightstand) or high (on a bookshelf) and still look great. A 60W bulb and a in-line switch on a 6 ft. cord are included. The lamp is 13 1/4 inches tall.

First invented in France in 1827, a LITHOPHANE ("Vision In Stone") is a porcelain engraving that virtually comes alive when illuminated from behind. The image is created by a panel of different thicknesses of translucent, kiln-fired porcelain. A breathtakingly detailed picture in warm sepia tones emerge when lit. These illuminated artworks are so detailed, that they are sometimes mistaken for photographs.
